2020 RMHS Fall Skills Clinic - Durango, Colorado - October 9-11
RMHS in partnership with the Durango Youth Hockey Association will be hosting a fall skills clinic October 9-11, 2020 at the Chapman Hill Ice Rink. This Coed clinic will be for athletes from 2006-2014 birth-years. Group #1 will be a powerskating and stickhandling clinic for the coed birth-years ranging from 2010-2014. Group #2 will for the coed birth-years ranging from 2006-2009 and will focus on Defensive and Offensive Skills & Positioning.
Program Description
Group # 1 - Powerskating & Stickhandling - Ages 6-10 - 2010-2014 Birth Years
October 9-11, 2020
RMHS is coming to Durango for a Coed Powerskating & Stickhandling clinic for players that are in the 2010-2014 birth year ranges. The players will be separated into groups by age and skill level. This will ensure the players will be training against players of their skill level for the best possible training environment. During this clinic, we will focus on edge control, forward and backward stride, all forms of changing direction, agility, and of course having some fun in between training!

Friday, October 9
Check-In - 5:15pm
On-Ice - 6:00-7:00pm
Saturday, October 10
On-Ice - 11:30am-12:45pm
Off-Ice - 1:00-2:00pm
Lunch Break - 2:15am-3:15pm
3v3 Street Hockey - 3:30-5:30pm
On-Ice - 6:15-7:30pm
Sunday, October 11
On-Ice - 8:00-9:30am
Off-Ice - 9:45-10:45am
****RMHS Staff will have a goaltending coach at this camp, please register to save your spot as they are limited to 4 per group
Group #2 - Defensive & Offensive Skills & Positioning - Ages 11-14 - 2006-2009 Birth Years
October 9-11
The players will be separated into groups by age and skill level. This will ensure the players will be training against players of their skill level for the best possible training environment. During this clinic the Defensive segment will cover defensive tactics, coverages, checking, body play, gap control, positioning, defensive theory, transitions, jumping into the play, and defending odd-man rushes. The Offensive segment will focus on offensive theory, face-offs, sustaining an attack, cycling, attacking with speed, odd-man rushes for, offence at the puck, offence away from the puck, and support.

The Athletes will receive the following!
- 5 hours of on-ice professional training
- 2 hours of hockey specific off-ice training
- 3 hours of street hockey play
- RMHS 25th-anniversary camp jersey
