Program Description

2021 RMHS Fall Skills Clinic - Cody, Wyoming - October 8-10, 2021 

RMHS in partnership with the Cody Youth Hockey Association will be hosting a fall skills clinic October 8-10, 2021 at the Riley Arena. This Coed clinic will be for athletes from 2004-2015 birth-years. Group #1 will be a powerskating and stickhandling clinic for the coed birth-years ranging from 2009-2015. Group #2 will for the coed birth-years ranging from 2004-2010 and will focus on Body Contact & Checking.

***All players in each group will be separated by age and skill level to maximize the learning environment! Goaltenders welcome! 

***Attention 11 & 12 Year old players (2009 & 2010 Birth Years) you can choose to register for the Powerskating & Stickhandling group or the Body Contact & Checking Clinic

Group # 1 - Powerskating & Stickhandling - Ages 6-12 - 2009-2015 Birth Years

RMHS is coming to Cody for a Coed Powerskating & Stickhandling clinic for players that are in the 2009-2015 birth year ranges. The players will be separated into groups by age and skill level. This will ensure the players will be training against players of their skill level for the best possible training environment. During this clinic, we will focus on edge control, forward and backward stride, all forms of changing direction, agility, and of course having some fun in between training!

Check-In - 5:30pm
On-Ice - 6:30-7:45pm 

Saturday October 9
On-Ice - 10:00-11:15am
Off-Ice - 11:15am-12:15pm 
Lunch Break - 12:15-1:15pm
3v3 Street Hockey - 1:15-2:30pm
On-Ice - 3:15-4:30pm

On-Ice - 10:00-11:15am

****RMHS Staff will have a goaltending coach at this camp, please register to save your spot as they are limited to 4 per group

Group #2 - Body Contact & Checking - Ages 13-17 - 2004-2008 Birth Years - (optional for 2009 & 2010 Birth Years)

October 8-10, 2021 - 

Checking Covered here will be the body check, hip check, stick check, hook check, sweep check, and poke check as well as the optimal timing, positions, circumstances and situations for the use of each check along with their optimal results. Also, the full Heads Up Hockey curriculum will be covered in depth including angling, body positioning, puck protection, and the proper ways to both give and receive a body check.

• 2 hours of hockey specific off-ice training 
• 3v3 Street hockey play
