Dates: July 29 - August 2- Group #1: 8U & 10U - Skills Drills & Small Area Games - Group #2: 12U & 14U - Defensive & Offensive Concepts Camp - Location: Lynwood Ice Center - $545 - 

Program Description

Skills, Drills, & Small Games Camp - 8U & 10U 7-10yrs - (2017-2014 Birth Years)

The age groups that we will work within these camps will be 8 to 12. As we all know, players under 12 need to work on fundamentals and skills in a fun learning environment.  The skating that will be covered will work on edges, skating strides backward and forward, crossover, stopping, turning, quicker starts, and transitional skating. Puck skills like passing, stickhandling, and better control will be covered in full detail. All of these skills will be taught in full detail. After the skills are improved, the staff will show how to use the skills in game situations within small area games and hockey-specific drills description.

ATTENTION GOALTENDERS - Every RMHS camp will offer professional goaltending instruction from one of our professional goaltending coaches. We limit these spots to four goaltenders per group.

• 7-10-year-old players: All players must have one year of playing experience 

• $545

• 8:00 am - 2:30 pm daily  

• 3 hours on-ice per day  

• 90 minutes off ice per day  

• SportsBoard Player Assessment   

• Campers must pack their lunches daily  

• Schedules are subject to change due to registration levels up to one week before the first day of camp 

Defensive & Offensive Camps - Group #2 - 12U & 14U - (2010-2013 Birth Years)

The Defensive segment will cover defensive tactics, coverages, checking, body play, gap control, positioning, defensive theory, transitions, jumping into the play, and defending odd-man rushes. The Offensive segment will focus on offensive theory, face-offs, sustaining an attack, cycling, attacking with speed, odd-man rushes for, offense at the puck, offense away from the puck, and support.

• 11-14-year-old players: All players must have one year of playing experience 

• Second-year peewees have to be cleared with the RMHS Staff to be eligible to move up  

• $545

• 9:45 am - 4:15 pm daily  

• 3 hours on-ice per day  

• 90 minutes off ice per day

• Campers must pack their lunches daily
