Program Description

Proper skating mechanics are crucial for hockey players. This camp also focuses on skating, stickhandling, shooting, and passing. 

Powerskating:

 The areas of focus for skating will be:

• Proper skating mechanics, forward and backward striding, and efficient skating
• Maneuvering - edge control, crossovers, power turns, and transitioning with mohawks and pivots
• Quick starts and stops, forward and backward.

Stick skills include:

• Shooting mechanics - ability to shoot off either foot forehand and shooting backhand with power
• Passing - forehand and backhand including saucer pass
• Stickhandling and advanced stickhandling including deeks
