Program Description

2026 RMHS Spring Skills Clinic - Grand Junction, CO - September 26-27, 2026

RMHS, in partnership with the Grand Junction Hockey Club, will host a fall skills clinic at the River City Sportsplex from September 26-27, 2026. This Coed clinic will be for athletes from 2009-2019 birth years. Group #1 will be a powerskating and stickhandling clinic for the coed birth years from 2014 to 2019. Group #2 will focus on defensive and offensive positioning for the coed birth years 2009 and 2013.

*** To maximize the learning environment, all players in each group will be separated by age and skill level. Goaltenders are welcome! 

Group # 1 - Powerskating & Stickhandling - Ages 7-12 - 2014-2019 Birth Years

September 26-27, 2026 - RMHS is coming to Grand Junction for a Coed Powerskating & Stickhandling clinic for players in the 2014-2019 birth year ranges. The players will be separated into groups by age and skill level. This will ensure the players train against players of their skill level for the best possible training environment. During this clinic, we will focus on edge control, forward and backward strides, all forms of changing direction, agility, and, of course, having some fun between training sessions!

Group #2 - Defensive & Offensive Positional Training - Ages 13-16 - 2009-2013 Birth Years 

September 26-27, 2026

Defensive & Offensive Positional Training
The Defensive segment will cover defensive tactics, coverages, checking, body play, gap control, positioning, defensive theory, transitions, jumping into the play, and defending odd-man rushes. The Offensive segment will focus on offensive theory, face-offs, sustaining an attack, cycling, attacking with speed, odd-man rushes for, offense at the puck, offense away from the puck, and support.

****RMHS Staff will have a goaltending coach at this camp. Please register to save your spot; they are limited to 4 per group.

• 4+ hours of on-ice professional training
• Hockey-specific off-Ice training
