Summer STEM Camps
Carlsbad, California
Program Overview
We are real scientists teaching hands-on science labs for students in grades K-8th. We have over 100 hands-on labs designed by real scientists. Our teachers are very knowledgeable with science degrees from Stanford, UC Berkley, UC San Diego and more. Our labs cover human biology and our senses to the environment and plants. We take concepts students learn in textbooks and integrate them through an engaging approach. Project-based learning helps students develop critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and self-management. We believe students learn best by doing, especially when they are self-motivated and pursue their own ideas and interests independently. Everything we do is designed to instill a growth mindset in students. Our labs heavily motivate students to think through problems rather than just follow directions. When a student asks us a “what if” question, we respond with “let’s try it.” We teach students they don’t have to rely on the truth of what someone else tells them. They have the power to discover the truth for themselves. Moreover, we encourage them to use that power every day!
Program Description
Students conduct chemical reactions, build engineering structures, learn aerospace engineering and launch rockets, explore plant biology, build, code and battle Lego robots, uncover a crime scene in our forensic science lab, build spectroscopes and more.
