Program Overview

Battle Ready Hockey returns to Indian Trail, NC for our Charlotte Preseason Camp at Extreme Ice Center. This camp is where Battle Ready began and remains our way of giving back to the Charlotte hockey community.

The Charlotte camp is designed to help players enter their season confident, prepared, and mentally sharp. Our experienced staff focuses on details that separate effective players from skilled players, including playing with pace, scanning the ice, protecting the puck, and making confident decisions under pressure.

Each day features a specific on-ice theme that blends skill development, competitive games, and situational play. The week is high energy, structured, and fun, with an emphasis on learning how to apply skills consistently in game-like environments.

Off the ice, players are exposed to new perspectives through guest speakers and daily conversations around mindset, preparation, and development. Every player leaves with feedback on their game and a clearer understanding of their strengths and areas to improve as they begin their season.

This camp is recommended for travel-level players and higher.

Program Description

• Two on-ice sessions per day

• 2 professional power skating sessions (Neurostride Performance Club)

• 5 hours of off-ice training

• Daily chalk talk and information sessions

• Individual player report card at the end of the week

• Battle Ready Hockey jersey

• Additional guest speakers to be announced

Program Detail

• Camp runs Monday through Friday, August 3–7th

• Daily arrival time: 8:30 AM

• First ice session begins at 9:15 AM

• Daily pick-up window: 2:45–3:15 PM

Players should bring:

• Full on-ice equipment

• A spare stick for off-ice training

• Athletic shoes and workout attire

Birth year groupings:

• 2008–2012

• 2013–2017

A limited number of goalie spots are available. Goaltenders will receive focused instruction throughout the week from an elite goaltending coach, Matthew Petizian, with professional playing experience.
